A More Powerful Future

I began this entry in my journal tonight as a recap of my weekend. This was to be about how we had a great time together as a family this weekend, and today spent it walking in a state park enjoying the fresh air. But about ten minutes before I wrote this,  I saw a commercial for a Dodge car and the line from it, “I take it you’d like a more powerful engine?” got me.

Why do I need a more powerful engine?

  • Am I late to work everyday because my engine is not powerful enough?
  • Is my son not getting the education he should because my engine is not powerful enough?
  • Is my neighborhood going to be safer if I, and my neighbors, have more powerful engines?
  • Am I having trouble putting food on my table because my engine is not powerful enough?
  • Is the world going to be a better place when I have a more powerful engine?
  • Can I save someone’s life with a more powerful engine?

Making it up as I go since 1969
I run a web design shop in Manhattan Beach, CA. I'm a die hard nice guy. I started the Get Geeky South Bay, and also run the LA ExpressionEngine meetup. I live & breathe technology and the web, and drink way too much coffee.
